City Of Birmingham Championships 2016

Carey Academy of Irish Dancing will be hosting the 2nd City Of Birmingham Championships
over the weekend of 13th & 14th February 2016 at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.
We are looking forward to welcoming you all back for a fabulous weekend of dancing.

North American Nationals 2015

The North Amercian Nationals took place from 1st to 5th July in Providence, Rhode Island.
Beth Monaghan won her second title with Callum O'Neill winning his first.
Well done to everyone who took part as we had some great results and the school was placed 6th overall.

City Of Birmingham Championships

The inaugural City Of Birmingham Championships was held over Valentine's weekend at Edgbaston cricket ground.
The championships hosted by the Carey Academy Of irish Dancing was supported by Birmingham City Council. The opening ceremony was attended by The Lord Mayor of Birmingham Shafique Shah and city councillors Ian Ward and Peter Kane.

The completion attracted well over 700 dancers from USA, Canada, South Africia, Germany, Austria and of course the UK and Ireland.

Carey Academy will be hosting the inaugural City of Birmingham Championships
to be held at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground on 14th & 15th February 2015.

North American Nationals Montreal 2014

Carey Academy dancers travelled to Montreal, Canada to take part in the North American Nationals. Of the 10 dancers who competed 7 of them placed in the top 5!
Mitchell Hodges won for the fourth year in a row and both Erin McPolin and John Whitehurst won their second title.

World Championships London 2014 - Four World Titles!

The Carey Academy has returned from the World Championships in London with 4 World Titles!
Along with 4 World titles the dancers achieved 12 top 5 placing’s making the The Carey Academy is the most successful Irish dancing school in the World!
Congratulations to Mitchell Hodges, age 18, for winning his first World title after being runner-up for the past two years.  The other World titles were won by the U16 Girls Ceili team, U16 Girls Figure team and Senior Ladies figure team!

Carey Academy @ All Ireland Championships 2013

The Waterfront, Belfast was the setting for the All Ireland Championships 2013. Carey Academy has returned with 4 champions!
Well done to all our dancers who competed and danced their best, especially to our 2 solo champions -
U9 Boys Patrick McGonigle and U13 Girls Beth Monaghan. 
Two of our teams are also All Ireland Champions - Junior Girls Ceili team and Junior 3 Hand Team - well done to all!

Great Britain Championships 2013

Carey Academy has just returned from the Great Britain Championships with 15 solo dancers who have qualified for the Worlds 2014.
Well done to all our dancers who competed and danced their best, especially to our 2 solo champions U9 Boys Patrick McGonigle and U17 Boys 
Mitchell Hodges.  This is the 2nd year in a row that Patrick has won and the first time for Mitchell.
Two of our ceili teams are also Great Britain Champions - U10 Mixed Ceili team and U12 Girls Ceili team - well done to all!

North American Nationals Anaheim California

Carey Academy had 9 dancers competing at the North American Nationals earlier this month. We had some fantastic results all dancers recalled and placed.
Well done to everyone especially our 2 champions - Beth Monaghan for winning her frist major and Micthell Hodges who retained his title for the 3rd year running.

Careyography The Show - 21st & 22nd September 2013

Careyography the Show will be at the Crescent Theatre, Birmingham on 21st and 22nd September.Carey Academy will be showcasing all their dancers in their fund raising show.
